Jim Harley, CBI

KYHOTELBROKER.COM is headed by Jim Harley - a veteran of more than 30-years in the hotel and real estate industries.

Following his graduation from Bucknell University, Jim earned two Masters Degrees - the first in Hotel Administration from the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration, and the second in real estate development from American University.

His career in the hotel and real estate industries has been extensive and has included work with such firms as:

  • Pannell, Kerr, Forster (Consultant)
  • Marriott Corporation (Director of Hotel Development Planning)
  • Holiday Inns Internation (VP Hotel Development)
  • Holiday Inn (Regional VP- Development/Acquisitions)
  • Security Capital Group (VP Asset Management - Homestead Village)
  • Extended Stay America (VP Operations)
  • Southern Suites (EVP)
Additionally, Jim has done work for such as companies as: Hyatt Corporation, Choice Hotels, Hilton Corporation, Hyatt, among others.

Jim is a member of the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA) and has earned their Certified Business Intermediary designation and is a member of the Cornell Hotel Society.  He has contributed to the Business Brokerage Press and is identified as an "Industry Expert" in hotel transactions by that group.


He holds real estate licenses in Kentucky, North Carolina and South Carolina.
